A popular local pub is just a five minute walk away. For any cycling enthusiasts or walkers the Camel Trail is perfect for exploring some beautiful scenery and wildlife. The trail takes you to Wadebridge, via The Camel Valley Vineyard where some of the best wines can be sampled, and then on to the vibrant north Cornwall fishing port of Padstow.

If you are looking for some local Cornish history, the newly renovated Bodmin Jail is a great place to start. The jail was built in 1779 and, after years of sitting derelict, it has recently been transformed into a luxurious hotel with a museum, restaurant and champagne bar all waiting to be enjoyed.

For beaches, you are spoilt for choice as Bodmin is located in between the north and south coasts. Surfing on the north coast is always popular or you can visit the south coast and discover the charming fishing port of Looe and the China Clay Port of Fowey. The Eden project is also on the south coast and well worth a visit.
